Memories made

Funniest dang thing I have ever seen, and yet can't quite figure it out.

My mother visited on Saturday. We had lunch, a nice visit and made a clock......

.....and a pink Honda

This will only mean something to my imaginary friend. It will remind us that we are capable of anything with just a little encouragement and that we haven't really grown up, just grown older. Posted by Picasa

Ionic Cleansing - Second Visit

Well after one week with no caffeine, and less sugar, I felt fantastic! Tons of energy and fewer headaches - who would have thought it possible? Though I must admit a little remorse over throwing away a habit that I have nurtured for more than half of my life....sigh. Anyway just a quick reminder how bad last week was...................

.........and now some pics from this week's cleansing after the same amount of time.

Jasmyn was not impressed.... Chantal was repulsed.

My imaginary friend fared well this week and was able to get rid of a lot of toxins. I was very pleased for her..........

Before I sign off I have to share a web site. This site transfers your mp3's to your cell phone to be used as ringtones.....very easy to use and free - a bit of a wait time, but worth it.

Cell Phone Shopping

Shannon is the best employee that Bell has. Knowledgeable, friendly, and above all helpful, she had me forgetting that I was spending more than I had planned; I have no buyers' remorse and can't wait until I can find the time to play with it.

Chantal showing off the Samsung 'Jive'. I love my Samsung and didn't want to change. It has more features than I really need, but it will suit Jasmyn just fine in a couple of years when I upgrade again.

My imaginary friend thought this one to be very sexy, but I didn't like the feel of it.

This one has a rubber like coating around it - but it was very clunky. And my current Samsung hasn't needed and rubber coating to protect it.

These are the phones that Jasmyn thought I should get. I'm pretty sure that she was not looking at the features included.

Plumbing 101

Last night the rubber bit on the flapper that the chain attaches to ripped. After waiting patiently for Canadian Tire to open, I purchased what I prayed was the right flapper - Universal means 'right no matter what' -right?

It was a fairly quick work and Jasmyn documented the entire project. The only glitch was the handle for turning off/on the water was stripped. It was removed the valve turned with a wrench and handle replaced.

When we had finished, our Stuffed Tomatoes were ready to take out of the oven. Scratch the second tomatoe from the right for an aromatic whiff.

Ionic Cleansing Adventure

This was one of those impulse things - definitely interesting. My imaginary friend and I had seen a sign for this process at My Scissors and I in Hanover and had meant to go last week.
Grant explained the science of ionic cleansing as he prepared the water, adding only sea salt. I had no idea I was so dirty!
For the morbidly curious, he has seen far more disgusting sessions, but I did acheive the highest rating on the 'filth-o-meter' for the day.
Grant did explain that my case a week of diet coke is evil, and of course the amount of air born heavy metals that are absorbed into my body at work is seriously detrimental to my health as well. After a half hour toxin sucking session, Grant rinses and dries your feet and finishes with a brief foot rub.
I didn't really have any expectations, though I thought that I would have felt like something was leaving my body, but I found it to be quite a relaxing process if you don't dwell on the revolting filth that you didn't realize that you were harboring. Grant is very knowledgeable and I felt very much at ease during the entire cleansing.
I will let you know if I get any relief from the violent headaches - this is one of the many benefits I can expect from ionic cleansing - and for the next week I am going to lay off of Diet Coke, pre-packaged snacks and see what kind of difference we see when I go again next Thursday.

Lots to see

My imaginary friend called and insisted on coming over, and I could hear the immense smile she was wearing in her voice. I didn't think a pillow could change my life, but I have not woken up to a sore neck and back since she gave this to me. She was immensely pleased with herself for having bought this for me and I can't thank her enough - I feel great!

Sue stopped by the other day. I had to get up (but for Sue I don't mind) have a shower - too hot to run the hair dryer (I do own one) and then catch up on the past couple of months. Sue works in Orillia so we don't get together as often as we used to but a big hug leads to stories exchanged and laughs shared. Thanks for the visit Sue, you always make my day.

This bad boy was found outside of my imaginary friends' house. (She is imaginary because you will never see a pic of her, and I can't speak her name online - and I respect that) She was reaching in to a shrub to pull out a weed and screamed after almost wearing the web. Jasmyn is off to the Kincardine Music Festival on Monday - I am so proud of her.
